The FIRST Robotics Competition provides a unique opportunity for high school students to engage in a large-scale project and experience the engineering process first-hand. Students, cooperating with professional engineers, have to design, construct, and test out a robot that must compete against other robots in a national competition. This is one of the few occasions students have to actually apply their classroom learning to a real-world situation.

However, a project of this scale and magnitude requires a large amount of resources, such as engineering help, tools and materials, and money. Therefore, in order to successfully participate in the competition, we rely on the generosity and support of companies and organizations within the local community. As a sponsor of the Mills Robotics Team, your company name and logo will appear on our robot and team T-shirts when we compete in the National Championship, which will be televised nationally on ESPN. More importantly, as a sponsor, you will be showing your support for the education of the minds of the future, helping to give high school students a rare opportunity to open up the world of science and engineering.

We would like to thank our sponsors from our 1998 season for helping us our rookie year.
