Millbrae, CA - November 16, 1998 - After weeks of applications and interviews, we have selected the 1999 Mills Robotics Team. Interested applicants filled out a four page application which was followed by an interview for personal response. In reviewing over applicants, we were looking for people that exhibited motivation, maturity, and special skills. Although many were qualified, we were unable to accept everyone due to the vast amount of applications we received. We thank everyone for their interest in robotics and encourage them to apply again next year. Of the 48 applicants that applied, we were able to accept 34 people, thereby forming a team of 56 members. We have a diverse team of 10 freshmen, 7 sophomores, 12 juniors, and 27 seniors. Having chosen our members, plans for training are already in progress. Diverse in skills and interests, the Mills Robotics Team has great potential to succeed this year.
